About Kara Dennison

Kara Dennison has turned her love of theatre, art, science fact, science fiction, and costuming into a career that spans formats and genres. With experience in performance, writing, costume-making, hosting, and improvisation, she is a sought-after performer, interviewer, and social media expert at functions in the mid-Atlantic area.

An actress since the age of 7, she has appeared onscreen with the UK-based Westlake Films, voiced multiple characters for Rainbow Puppet Productions, and currently plays the recurring role of Artema Sable in the sci-fi podcast Managlitch City Underground. From 2015-2018, she worked with Onezumi Events as their Community Manager and on-site interviewer. She also worked closely with multiple anime and sci-fi events in the mid-Atlantic region in management and entertainment positions for more than half her life, and still appears as a guest and presenter.

As a part of the anime industry, Kara's work has spanned localization and content creation. She began as an editor for companies like Crunchyroll, Discotek, and Sekai Project, helping to bring Mazinger Z, Devilman, fault, Higurashi When They Cry, and many more titles to North America. Presently, Kara works as a news and features writer for Crunchyroll and Viewster.

Kara is also a published author, with works available to read both in the US and UK. Her stories have appeared in Litro, NILVX, and titles from Obverse, Titan, and many more. She can also be found writing features for The Sartorial Geek from Jordanden√© and We Are Cult.

She works with Ginger Hoesly as a co-creator of Owl's Flower, an English-language light novel series.

Kara is available as a guest speaker or panel presenter for conventions and events.
